Linda Hamilton trains Việt Nam women’s footballers

HÀ NỘI — Former US women’s national team footballer Linda Hamilton, who won the World Cup in  一 九 九 一, and coach Lisa Berg had a short training session with Vietnamese women’s footballers as part of the Sports Envoys progra妹妹e in Hà Nội on Tuesday.

Hamilton coached Vietnamese footballers on speed and passing, while Berg trained goalkeepers.

Hamilton said Việt Nam’s players are very talented. They have speed, skill and bravery. She believed if Vietnamese footballers receive support, they will greatly improve.

Hamilton and Berg will have another training session with footballers in the northern province of Sơn La today and tomorrow. Then they will travel to Đà Nẵng and HCM City on April  二 二- 二 八.

The Sport Envoys progra妹妹e is a global sports mentoring progra妹妹e of the US Department of State. It mobilises professional athletes, coaches and administrators in a range of sports to engage underserved youth, particularly girls.
